TWENTY8
2012 - Twenty8 is a multiplex studio, inspired by New York's loft like rehearsal facilities. It can be used mainly for rehearsals of all kind of bands, live recording & production, seminars, artistic showcases and private events. The Studio facilities at Twenty8 have been designed to contemporary international standards in collaboration with Roger D'Arcy, (managing director and senior designer at Recording Architecture Limited, London). The construction project was developed by "Papadopoulos Eleftherios Construction" and by «1plus1Architecture». Twenty8 Studio as completed is an outstanding example of quality acoustic architecture with top class services in a very inspiring, functional & comfortable environment.
The shell of the studio is the basement level of a 5-storey apartment building. A zig-zag wall constructed by solid stone blocks, which functions as a sound barrier and sound diffuser for the main studio space, defines the aesthetics of the studio design. The materials used are visible and therefore the construction details can be "read" easily.
