ABOUT

In 1994 I graduated with a MArch in Architectural Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and then I continued my studies at the Kent Institute of Art and Design where I attained a Masters of Arts Degree on Time Based Media. For 17 years I have collaborated with Pavlos Calligas Architectural Office in a wide range of projects, from residential to cultural and from new construction to adaptive re-use of listed neoclassical buildings, amongst the most indicitive being the Benaki Museum of Islamic Art, the Hatzikiriaku-Gkika Benaki Museum and the Kanellopoulos Museum. In 2004 I opened my practice in Athens. The practice works mostly on residential, cultural and commercial projects providing full architectural, interior, as well as custom product and furniture design services. In 2009, I started working with the world renowned recording studio designer Roger D'Arcy on numerous small to large scale music recording and film production studios around the world

My intention when designing is to extrude each client's and each space's individualities and to combine them in spatial form.  During the design and construction processes major consideration is given to detail, function, aesthetics and architectural integrity. The practice's work incorporates a variety of influences favoring no single style. Artistic compositions of plan, space and form are enriched by carefully considered color, texture and materials.
